FIRST TIME CRUISER ESSENTIALS!

What are they? Why do I think they important?

Lanyard – to hold your sail and sign card.
You receive a card similar to a credit card to use onboard when you cruise. It acts as your room key, identification, and cashless payment method while you’re on the cruise. You need to carry it with at all times. Especially when you get off of the ship at the ports. I find it’s very convenient to have it attached to a lanyard. I have quite a few different lanyards. All in different colors and styles to match my outfits! You can purchase them from a variety of places like Amazon or onboard.

Luggage tag holder – to hold your suitcase luggage tags.
This is a protective plastic sleeve designed to securely attach and safeguard your printed cruise luggage tags. You must use a luggage tag on each piece of luggage you give to the porters. These holders ensure your tags remain intact and legible throughout your journey, especially during embarkation and baggage handling.

Towel bands or clips – holds your towels on the loungers. When you are cruising the cruise lines provide you with beach towels, usually one per guest. The large bands are elastic straps. They are designed to secure your towel to a lounge chair. This prevents it from slipping or blowing away due to wind. They serve as a modern alternative to traditional towel clips. They offer a sleek and efficient solution for beach, poolside, or cruise ship lounging. The clips tend to be bulky in your luggage and can break easily.

Phone holders – great to use for hands-free carrying and using in the water. If you’re planning a a day at the beach, you to keep your phone safe. You will need protection from water, sand, and splashes. So, a waterproof phone holder is essential.

Magnets – these have become one of the most popular cruise hacks! Cruise cabin walls and ceilings are typically made of metal, allowing strong magnets to attach securely. This is especially helpful in small staterooms where space is limited. Great for hanging clothes, accessories, bags, decorations, documents, etc.
Clothesline – handy for hanging wet suits or other garments in the shower. Use magnetic hooks on the wall and hang notes, papers, etc. Buy the lightweight, bungee type with small attached clothespins.

NON-surge power strip – some of the older ships don’t have many outlets for all of our electronics! You should bring a non-surge protected outlet adapter or power hub. Some cruise lines are banning these. Check the prohibited items list on their website before packing one.
I send my clients an appreciation thank you gift for booking with me. These are some of the items I think are important for them to have and so i TYPICALLY include them!
