Celebration Key is Carnival’s private destination on Grand Bahama Island and will open in July 2025.

Celebration Key, nestled on the south side of Grand Bahama Island, is designed exclusively for Carnival guests. It’s perfect for adults. Families with kids will love it. It’s ideal for everybody who is looking for the ultimate tropical paradise and a variety of experiences.

Get ready for unique island-style fun, relaxation, and adventure spread across 65 acres and five “portals” to explore. Each portal offers unforgettable experiences. These include a mile-long white sand beach and the largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean.

It includes multiple complimentary areas. All guests can enjoy them without paying extra.

Complimentary Areas at Celebration Key

Free Beach Access – Paradise Plaza & Calypso Lagoon

• Mile of white sand beach with shaded loungers and umbrellas
• No excursion purchase required
• Designated areas for all ages
• Free access to Lagoon Beach and walk-up bars & food spots

Sports Court:

The sports court is part of the Starfish Lagoon. It provides spaces for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball.

This offers active recreation for all ages. 

Gaming Pavilion:

This area features foosball, table tennis, and cornhole, providing indoor entertainment options

Free Dining Options

• Complimentary food available at Island Bites huts and Snickering Pig walk-up venues
• You receive a free food voucher for one complimentary meal or 25% off of other venues
• Menu items likely include:
  
  • BBQ favorites (ribs, pulled pork)
  • Grilled chicken, burgers
  • Caribbean-style sides
  • Desserts and soft drinks

Splashy Shores

Wi-Fi (With Carnival Plan)

• If you’ve purchased a Carnival Wi-Fi package for your cruise, it extends to Celebration Key

• Daybeds, Villas, and Cabanas: These premium options are available for rent. 
• Food and Drinks outside “Island Eats”: Dining at full-service restaurants without the 25% discount or purchasing additional food items will incur extra charges.

• Water Sports: Activities like kayaking and snorkeling, dolphin encounters will require separate payment. 
• Premium Experiences: Private cabanas and other premium offerings come with additional costs. 
• Floating beach mats or water toys
• VIP areas (like Cabana Cove or Adults-Only Hideaway)
• Water Park & slides (expected to be an excursion-style add-on for $15 day unlimited)

You can enjoy Celebration Key without spending a dime. If you just want a relaxing beach day, there will be food, music, and fun. Bring a towel, sunscreen, and your camera — and you’re set!

Until Celebration is fully opened, there is still some speculation. People wonder what is completely complimentary. They also want to know the pricing for extra amenities.

I enjoy cruise line owned ports. There is usually plenty to do without spending much money. There is no need to spend extra for an outside excursion.
